The aim of The Sarah Jackson Community Wish is to raise funds in Sarah’s memory and give back to the local community through meaningful acts of kindness, support and community investment.
We offer two ways to get involved — nominating a deserving individual or applying for funding as a local group or organisation.
Nominate Someone Special
Do you know someone who deserves recognition for the kindness they show, the difference they make, or simply because they’re going through a difficult time and could use a little lift?
Through our #GiveALittleLove initiative, you can nominate a special individual for a surprise act of kindness from The Sarah Jackson Community Wish. This might be someone who quietly supports others, contributes positively to the community, or someone facing challenges who deserves a thoughtful treat.
Nominations can be made anonymously
One of our committee members will personally deliver the surprise to their door where possible

Funding for Local Groups and Organisations
Are you a local organisation, community group, school or charity working to support people in Otley and the surrounding area?
We welcome funding applications from groups whose work aligns with our mission of supporting the community Sarah loved. Whether you need help with projects, resources, training or initiatives that benefit local people, we would love to hear from you.
Groups and organisations can apply directly using our funding application form.
All applications and nominations are carefully reviewed by our committee, who meet once a month to discuss submissions and allocate support. Following these meetings, we will respond to applicants and nominators in due course. We appreciate your patience while we give each request the time and consideration it deserves.
